Don't necessarily look to third, fourth and fifth carriers to start
doing competitive local calls on their own network in the short-term,
at least with large area coverage. I can't speak for our plans (I don't
know what they are ;-)), but it doesn't take much to see that the
infrastructure and investment required to carry local calls is _huge_.
Anyone care to see another couple of organisations digging up the
roads, stringing more wire from telephone poles or putting up another
set of mobile-phone-like radio towers?
