Subject: [Oz-ISP] connect.com.au -> pathetic redelegation performance?
Followups:

<20020223121712.GA66430@ewok.creative.net.au>

Has anyone else been struck by the connect.com.au redelegation "policy"
that basically if it's not done by 5:30pm friday, it won't get done until
sometime monday of the next week?  Even if you have the domain keys?

How is it that someone like that can be allowed to be so "slack"??

While talking with their support people today, seems they get quite a lot
of "flack" about it... but can't get anything done.

I ask, because a major new client had a domain redelegation done last
thing friday afternoon, the confirmation e-mail came back from
connect.com.au saying it'd be done "with 24 hours" - yet when it wasn't
and I chased it up, we find the problem.

It gets worse, because the client has had 3 people working all day (and
will have them working tomorrow) to get the whole site, all the servers,
all the workstations, all the applications etc, changed (there were a
number of things being done with major changes in their mail system) -
only to find out that nothing will even *start* until sometime monday,
perhaps - and since the TTLs were at 24 hours (despite their best attempts
to have the previous DNS maintainer change it), they're really getting
pissed off about it!

Does anyone happen to know someone there who can "hit the magic button" to
make things happen sooner and stave off a bloodbath?

TIA,
RossW
