Those weren't _real_ Seagates though, were they? From memory they were
"Connergates" :-)

I see someone's just posted favourably about Conner HDDs. My memories of
Conner disks are not positive, so I guess that proves the point: It's
personal.

Remeber the Seagate 1.2GB IDE drives that
died on a _very_ frequent basis? I had about 20 of them.. all one after
another, after another until i finally got one that worked reliably.
I could say that leaves a bad taste too :)
