Folks I am curious for those who use DSL wholesale providers. We currently use a wholesale provider for our DSL clients who I shall not disclose because this is not a bitch session. I was surprised to find out today that they do not keep any authentication logs; or at least they claim not to. The reason I asked was to find out why one of my clients could not authenticate. He had a sync light so tone was present the service would just not connect. Normally for our analogue clients in such circumstances we review the radius logs to see why the client can not authenticate. eg. BAd username password. Wrong DNIS etc. In some cases there are no logs which indicates they are not even getting to authenticate. In any event I was wondering what experience others have wrt fault diagnosis with DSL providers. --- Yours sincerely, Gregory Kaloutsis Launch Internet Ph. 1800 720 106 Fax. 07 3343 9780 Web. http://www.launch.net.au Email. s u p p o r t @ l a u n c h . n e t . a u "We are your local Internet Service Provider" ---- email "unsubscribe aussie-isp" to m a j o r d o m o @ a u s s i e . n e t to be removed. |
