How about I build you one of our radio routers, without the radio card? single board computer, runs with either a local plugpack, or Power-over-Ethernet if you prefer, has two 10/100 ethernet ports, runs FreeBSD, has IPFW, dummynet etc, so you can do all your routing, firewalling and traffic-shaping. Silent, no moving parts, draws about 7 watts so doesn't even get hot. Can do NAT if you want it, can even NAT some addresses and ROUTE others if that were your need.... > > >I'm looking for what seems to be remarkably rare! > > > > > >A simple router, with two ethernet ports, which can do basic IP routing! > > > > > >The hardest part is it MUST have the ability to disable NAT. > > >If anyone at all knows of a router which has this facility, please let > > >me know ASAP. Only the subject indicates cable/dsl is a requirement, the specs above don't even hint at it. If you DO need cable/dsl, then my offering isn't any help! ---- email "unsubscribe aussie-isp" to m a j o r d o m o @ a u s s i e . n e t to be removed. |
