You're correct. The inline filter goes on the phone side, not the DSL side. My mistake. :( It seems that probably all I'll need to do is install inline filters between the socket and any voice devices on either socket. I was under the impression that the extra tail of wiring to the second socket may contribute to issues with the DSL.
