Thanks for the tip! I am sure that my squid setup on the two downstream
servers (both in the same subnet) should be handling the failure of the
upstream proxy properly, but it's a while since I reviewed the
configurations and probably need to study my methodology a little more
thoroughly to see what's causing the apparent problems.
