Hello all, I've just received the message below regarding linux trademarks.... The purported sender was Jeremy Malcolm, but he didn't seem too worried about telling me how I have used the trademark... So I can only assume that the domain linuxhowtos.net I registered many moons ago is the issue.... Is anyone else getting these?? IANAL and all, but the wording, being legalese-ish means that I can't quite understand it..... It all seems a little odd. What the? -- message -- From: Jeremy Malcolm [l i n u x t m @ i l a w . c o m . a u To: undisclosed recipients Subject: Use of Linux Trade Mark in Australia Dear Sir or Madam I act for Linus Torvalds, and I am writing to you about your use of the trade mark "Linux". This is not a letter of demand, but rather a request for your assistance, and an attempt to inform or remind you of the rights and obligations associated with the use of the trade mark "Linux". For further information please refer to the attached PDF letter. Yours faithfully, Jeremy Malcolm -- message -- The attachments have been saved to http://linuxhowtos.net/ for prosperity.
