That's the six million dollar question - what grade of service do you want to provide to your users? Consider: - Number of users signed up - Number of concurrent connections - Plans available - large or small Gb download per month - Tail speed - 100Mbit vs. 1.5Mbit per user - Local content availability - Average b/sec per user per day The upshot of these calculations will (usually) show something between 1:25 to 1:100 for residential broadband users.
